Autumn Series

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.

extract from John Keats ‘Ode to Autumn’

Our new autumn series is an adventure with a warm clay body, combined with cool blue and green glazes. Reminiscent of fallen leaves, green apples, and water that is just that little bit cool to swim in, it brings us into the new season.

Designed to hold and touch the exteriors are left unglazed, to hold that bowl of soup, or warming cup of tea. The forms are rounded to follow the curve of the palm. This is actually a combination of both Scott and Lisa’s work - clearly we are on the same page with this series! It’s a new favourite of ours and we are looking forward to making these in the cooler months.
